Tioga County Sports ReportNEWARK VALLEY — Three different players scored goals to lift Newark Valley to a 3-0 win here Tuesday on Senior Night in IAC boys soccer action.
"I think there was a little Senior Nigh motivation," said Newark Valley coach Mitch Thurston.
"Really, I'd say the hard work in practice is starting to pay off," he added.
Elijah Williams scored one goal and dished out one assist, while Kam Tesseyman tallied one goal, and Aaron Smith scored his first career varsity goal.
Newark Valley had a 21-7 advantage in shots-on-goal, and an 8-3 edge in corner kicks.
Austin Green recorded eight saves in net for the Cardinals.
Newark Valley, winners of two in a row, are 2-8 on the season, and will travel to Newfield Thursday.
