STAC VOLLEYBALL: OWEGO SWEEPS CHENANGO FORKS; IMPROVES TO 3-0 (2025-09-16)

BINGHAMTON — Owego continued its strong early-season play with a sweep of Chenango Forks here Tuesday night in STAC Central Division volleyball action.

The River Hawks, now 3-0, won by scores of 25-23, 25-7, and 25-22.

Maggie Hamed led Owego with 13 kills and five service aces, while Bella Miller dished out 12 setter assists, Evelyn Howe had four digs and one block, and Braelea McLaren registered six kills

Gracie Zimmer recorded six digs in the win, while Emma Bennett had four digs, Keely Wicklund had three assists, Ava McKeon added three kills, and Alyssa Harrington chipped in with three aces.

Owego, which earned honorable mention recognition in the initial Class A state rankings, returns to action Thursday at Chenango Valley.
