TIOGA CENTER — Candor reached the semifinals of the Tioga Volleyball Tournament here Saturday before being eliminated by Corning.
The Coyotes placed second in Pool 1 action behind the host team. Both teams had 6-2 records.
In the semis, Candor fell to Pool 2 winner Corning, 25-19, while the Tigers defeated Trumansburg, 25-13.
Tioga went on to down the Hawks in the championship game, 25-16.
Oneonta placed third in Pool 1 with a 5-3 record, followed by Chenango Forks at 2-6 and Delhi at 1-7.
Corning was a perfect 8-0 in Pool 2, T-burg went 6-2, Chenango Valley finished at 3-5, Unatego was 2-6 and Dryden was 1-7.
Candor returns to IAC action Tuesday at home against rival Spencer-Van Etten.
