SECTION IV FOOTBALL: SVEC RACKS UP POINTS IN WIN OVER SCHUYLER (2025-09-12)

ODESSA — If you want to challenge the Spencer/Van-Etten football team this season, you’d better be ready for a shootout. For the second game in a row the Eagles hit the 50-point mark, defeating Schuyler, 50-18, here Friday.

Logan Aman recorded his second straight 200-yard game, rushing for 207 yards and four touchdowns on 16 carries.

The first TD came on a 14-yard run in the first period and Zak Smith's PAT kick made it 7-0.

The Storm responded with an 8-yard pass from Hunter Mowry to Daniel Coston, Coston’s PAT run failed.

SVEC would wrap a pair of short TD runs around a Schuyler score to grab a 21-12 halftime advantage. Jakobe Foster scored on a 6-yard keeper, but the kick failed and Aman scored from four yards out. Charlie Hilbert’s PAT run made it 21-12.

In between, Caydin Lagramada dashed 26 yards to paydirt, but his PAT run failed.

Aman scored on a pair of impressive runs and Foster added a big interception as the Eagles built a 43-12 cushion through three quarters. Aman’s TD runs were 72 and 30 yards while Foster came up with a 55-yard pick six. Hilbert added a PAT run and Smith tacked on a pair of PAT kicks.

Last week, Aman added a kickoff return for a TD to his performance. This week, he returned a fumble 56 yards for a TD in the fourth quarter. The score and Smith’s PAT kick made it 50-12.

The Storm would get one last TD on Gabriel Crane’s 3-yard run. The PAT run failed.

Hilbert contributed 55 yards on six carries to the Eagles’ offensive output. Foster added 41 yards on four rushes and completed three of six passes for 20 more yards. Teagn Kwiatkowski grabbed two passes for 16 yards and Hilbert grabbed a 4-yard toss. Hilbert 1-4

Kwiatkowski paced the defense with 9 ½ tackles. Smith had a half-dozen takedowns and Ryan Huizinga added 3 ½ tackles and a sack.

Crane led Schuyler (0-2) with 33 yards on five runs, Coston had nine for 31, Lagramada added seven for 30. Kole Ector chipped in with 26 yards on five carries and Mason Dupay had 25 on seven rushes. The rest of the Storm combined for 10 yards on 10 carries.

SVEC (2-0) hosts Deposit/Hancock next Friday at Candor.
