IAC VOLLEYBALL: CANDOR SWEEPS MORAVIA TO IMPROVE TO 3-0 (2025-09-12)

MORAVIA — Candor rolled to a convincing sweep of Moravia here Thursday night in IAC crossover volleyball action to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Candor won by scores of 25-17, 25-13, and 25-7.

Malley Heidl led the Coyotes with 16 service points, including nine aces, and 21 setter assists, while Emmi Makie had 14 points (five aces), eight kills, and three digs, and Hazel Ray had nine points.

Nicola Soper had four points (two aces), nine kills, and three digs in the win, while Jill Teribury recorded four points and three digs, Tracy Reynolds had three points and three digs, Ava Fernando registered four kills and one block, and Montana Vorhis chipped in with four kills.

Candor returns to action Saturday at the Tioga Tournament.

JV — Candor 2, Moravia 0: Candor swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-22 and 25-17.

Ashlan Heidl led Candor with 11 points, including six aces, and four assists, while Kaedyn Everhart had 11 points (five aces), and Anna Kelsey had six points and three kills.

Ava Halstead registered five kills in the win, while Ava Anderson added four kills, Tori Hall dished out four assists, and Lizzy Knute chipped in with two points.
