Tioga County Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — Kosta Battisti scored a pair of first-half goals to lead Chenango Valley to a 5-0 win over Owego here Thursday night in STAC boys soccer action.
"It was a tough night for the squad," said Owego coach Alessio DeMichele.
"We have to improve at managing the game in the moments where we were playing well and do more defensively as a unit when we are under pressure.
"The young group is working hard to get better and I can’t fault their commitment, but our errors cost us 4 goals directly," he noted.
"It's up to us to learn from this moment of difficulty and show what Owego has always been about," added DeMichele.
Owego, now 1-4, hosts Waverly Saturday at 6 p.m.
