WAVERLY'S ROBINSON NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM BOYS REGIONAL "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Robinson had a standout game on both sides of the ball for the Wolverines in their 14-13 win over defending PIAA Class AA state champion Troy Friday night.
Robinson led Waverly's ground game with 95 yards on 16 carries.
Defensively, he had eight tackles, including two tackles-for-losses.
Honorable Mentions: Towanda's Boom Thompson (cross country and golf), Wellsboro's David Seeling (soccer), and Owego's Duke Snyder (golf).
TROY'S McROBERTS NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM GIRLS REGIONAL "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
McRoberts helped the Lady Trojans to a 3-0 start to the season on the soccer field. She scored eight goals and dished out one assist in wins over Towanda, Williamson, and Montoursville.
On the football field, she went 2-for-2 in extra points for Canton in the Trojans' game against Northwest Area.
