Tioga County Sports ReportCONKLIN — Several new players took the pitch for Owego Wednesday evening as the River Hawks fell to Susquehanna Valley, 4-0, in STAC boys soccer action here.
“Very challenging first varsity game for a lot of players,” said coach Alessio DeMichele. “We knew it would be a big learning curve but the boys had some good moments in the game. Executing those things consistently will be the key. We will be back to work to keep improving individually and collectively for the tests ahead. “
The River Hawks hosts Chenango Forks in the first round of the Oweo tournament Friday at 7 p.m. The consolation game is Saturday at 5 p.m. with the championship at 7 p.m.
