STAC BOYS GOLF: SNYDER SHOOTS 79 TO LEAD OWEGO AT DINUNZIO TOURNAMENT (2025-08-25)

ENDICOTT — Duke Snyder shot an impressive 79 to lead Owego at the 30th annual Nick Dinunzio Memorial Golf Tournament at En Joie Golf Course here Monday.

“Duke Snyder’s 79 is one of the lowest OFA scores at the DiNunzio in a long time,” said coach Chris Evans.

Snyder was among seven different players to card a 79, placing him in a tie for eighth place. Sharing that spot with the senior were Chenango Valley’s Madden Michalko, Horseheads’ Seamus Lynch, Ithaca’s Griffin Levine, Union-Endicott’s Nate Soule, and Vestal’s Johnny Gorman and Max Hatala.

Norwich’s Brevin Bennett claimed medalist honors with a 69. Vestal's Colin Fimbres was the runner-up with a 74 while Binghamton's Silsbee and Maine-Endwell’s Blaise Brixner tied for third, each posting a 75. M-E’s Tino Shattuck and Vestal’s Anthony Mazzeo tied for fifth at 7, and Norwich’s Matthew Brunick took seventh with a 78.

Also scoring for Owego were Sawyer Prentiss with a 90, Connor Kotski at 91, Carter Rieg with a 97 and Jordan Sawyer at 98. Beckett Tirinato added a non-scoring 101.

The River Hawks placed 10th out of 17 teams with a 455. Vestal captured the team title with a 390, followed by Vestal at 401 and M-E with a 404.

Owego hosts Susquehanna Valley Tuesday at The Golf Club at Owego at 11 a.m.
