
OWEGO — A trio of Owego seniors (now graduates) received girls lacrosse all-state recognition recently from the New York State Sportswriters Association.
Madison McEvoy was a fourth-team selection, while Lexi Herceg garnered fifth-team honors, and Shannon Maslin earned honorable mention recognition.
McEvoy scored 57 goals, including the 200th of her career, and doled out 23 assists in a season that saw the River Hawks reach the state semifinals.
Herceg finished the season with 57 goals to to tie McEvoy for the team-high, and also dished out 13 assists.
Maslin was one of the top goalies in Section IV this year, helping Owego to a Section IV title on its way to the state final four. She had 168 saves, including the 500th of her career.
