Tioga County Sports Report
TIOGA CENTER - Tioga's RaeAnne Feeko is the Tioga County Sports Report "Softball Player of The Year," leading the way for this year's 2025 All-Tioga County Softball Super 7 selections.
Tioga softball's Kate Kithcart earns the "Newcomer of the Year," while Tioga coach, Stephanie Hills is the "Coach of The Year."
Tioga junior, RaeAnne Feeko hit .647, with 43 hits in 67 at-bats, including 13 doubles, two triples, and seven home runs. She also had 37 RBI, 40 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases.
Feeko was walked six times and hit by pitches five times for an on-base percentage of .692. She had a slugging percentage of 1.209 for an OPS of 1.901.
Feeko was also one of the best defensive shortstops in the area and went 1-0 in the pitcher's circle as well, with 10 strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings pitched.
Tioga freshman, Kate Kithcart was a standout on both sides of the ball for the Tigers in her first varsity season.
Kithcart took over the pitching duties early in the season and posted a 9-3 record with a 2.46 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. She struck out 71 and walked 12, while allowing 68 hits in 74 innings.
At the plate, Kithcart hit .469 with 30 hits, including six doubles, two triples, 21 RBI, 21 runs scored, and four stolen bases. She worked eight walks for a .469 on-base percentage, to go along with a .625 slugging percentage for a 1.153 OPS.
Coach Hills led a young Tigers' squad to a 15-4 record with an upset bid over #6 state ranked, Union Springs in the postseason, allowing for a birth in the Section IV Class C Championship.

Miley Laubach, junior, Owego:
Laubach was a workhorse and a wall at the catcher position for Owego this season. At the plate, Laubach hit .527 with 29 hits. The junior catcher smacked eight doubles and one home run, to go with 22 RBI and 22 runs scored. Laubach had a .618 OBP with a .727 slugging percentage for a 1.345 OPS. The standout catcher stole nine bases as well.

Carsten Crawford, junior, Owego:
Crawford, OFA's ace in the circle was as reliable as it gets this year. Crawford logged 76 innings on the mound, striking out 102 batters and finishing with a 2.95 ERA. Offensively, Crawford was just as impressive. The junior hit .431 with 25 hits, including four home runs, 22 RBI, 26 runs scored, seven doubles, and four triples in 67 plate appearances, as well as an on-base percentage of .500 and a slugging percentage of .897 for a 1.397 OPS.
Maddie Cron, junior, Waverly:
A strong defender at third base, Cron hit .415 with 27 hits that included eight doubles, three home runs, 28 RBI, and 31 runs scored. She walked 10 times and was hit by pitches six times for a .531 on-base percentage, to go along with a .677 slugging percentage for a 1.208 OPS.
McKenzie Williams, senior, Tioga:
A very good defensive catcher, she was relegated to DH due to a knee injury that cost her the fall and winter seasons. Williams hit .556 with 30 hits, including two doubles, three home runs, 26 RBI, 18 runs scored and two stole bases. She walked nine times and was hit by one pitch for a .625 on-base percentage, to go along with a .759 slugging percentage for a 1.384 OPS.
Hannah Carpenter, sophomore, Waverly:
An excellent defensive catcher, Carpenter hit .375 with six doubles, two triples, two home runs, 29 RBI, 20 runs scored, and one stolen base. She had a .430 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of .597 for an OPS of 1.027.
SECOND TEAM
Jillian Holmes, junior, SVEC:
Holmes, a solid corner infielder for the Eagles, battled injuries throughout the season, but still managed a very productive spring. Holmes averaged .412 from the plate, with four home runs, two doubles, one triple, 12 RBI, and 23 runs scored with six stolen bases. SVEC's Jillian Holmes also worked 14 walks on the season and had an on-base percentage of .608 to go with a .882 slugging percentage for a 1.490 OPS.
Taylin Gonzalez, 8th-grader, Waverly:
At the plate, Gonzalez hit .424 with 25 hits, including six doubles, two triples, one home run, 23 RBI, and 21 runs scored. She walked 10 times and was hit by pitches twice for a .662 on-base percentage with a slugging percentage of .644 for a 1.306 OPS. Gonzalez made an immediate impact on both sides of the ball for the Wolverines. She posted a 6-5 record in the circle as well with a 3.86 ERA, and 60 strikeouts in 67 innings pitched.
Faith Brenchley, senior, SVEC:
Senior, Faith Brenchley was a pivotal piece in the Eagles push for a postseason birth in 2025. The veteran shortstop was a steady force offensively. Brenchley had 18 hits, including two home runs, seven doubles and two triples, to go with 21 RBI, 22 runs scored and seven stolen bases. The SVEC senior finished with a batting average of .367 on 64 plate appearances. She also walked nine times, finishing with a 1.230 OPS.
Lecksie Douglas, sophomore, Waverly:
Douglas wielded a dangerous bat, with 28 hits in 59 at-bats for a .474 batting average. Douglas finished the season with two doubles, one home run, 15 RBI, 28 runs scored, and three stolen bases. She had a .515 on-base percentage, and a slugging percentage of .559 for an OPS of 1.074.
Emily Shiner, junior, Tioga:
A good defender at second base, Shiner hit .521 with five doubles, one triple, 13 RBI, 17 runs scored, and two stolen bases. She walked six times for a .574 on-base percentage, to go along with a .667 slugging percentage for a 1.241 OPS.
Abby DeBolt, sophomore, Newark Valley:
Newark Valley's DeBolt made an immediate impact in her first varsity season. The sophomore pitcher threw 58 innings for the Cardinals, reaching 100 strikeouts on the very last batter she faced. Offensively, DeBolt hit .324 with a home run, three doubles and eight RBI. The sophomore also worked seven walks and finished with a .457 on-base percentage and a .486 slugging percentage for a .943 OPS.
Emily Luther, senior, Tioga:
Luther battled health issues this season, and ended up being moved from the pitcher's circle to the outfield, where she excelled defensively. She hit .377 with 20 hits, including six doubles, two triples, one home run, 18 RBI, 18 runs scored, and three stolen bases. Luther had a .623 slugging percentage and a 1.063 OPS.
Maia Smith, senior, Owego:
Smith made the move to shortstop this season and helped anchor the OFA infield. From the plate, Smith hit .383 with 23 hits, including eight doubles and 23 RBI, while scoring 14 runs. The senior shortstop finished with a .424 on-base percentage and a .517 slugging percentage for a .941 OPS.
