STAC TRACK & FIELD: OFA BOYS AND GIRLS PILE UP SELECTIONS FOR STAC SPRING ALL-STARS (2025-06-23)

OWEGO - River Hawks' track and field tallied multiple selections to this spring's Southern Tier Athletic Conference All-Stars, with Gavin Heath notching an All-Conference spot, while both the boys and girls' teams had multiple athletes earn All-Division nods.

On the boys side, Gavin Heath grabbed the 400-meter selection for the STAC All-Conference team. Heath won the STAC championship in the event, running 49.96. The time also put Heath at #3 all-time on the Owego 400m leaderboard.

Owego boys' earned three selections for the STAC Central All-Division Spring All Stars. The 4x400m relay team was chosen, consisting of Heath, Magavin Allen, Jaxson Belokur, and Bryson Castro. 

Also making the STAC Central All-Division team is the River Hawks' 4x800 relay. The relay was made up of Castro, Ryker Chrysler, Sullivan O’Donnell, and Javan Belokur. Senior, Evan Wasielewski grabbed the All-Division selection for the 110 hurdles as well.

For the girls, OFA earned six selections for STAC Central All-Division Spring All-Stars. Stella Palladino was chosen for the 100 and 200-meter dash. 

Palladino broke the Owego school record in the 200-meter dash this year, running 25.57. The junior is now #2 all time on the OFA 100m leaderboard as well, with her time of 12.38 at the Gerry O'Donnell Invite this season.

Jaelyn Chrysler earned a selection for both the 800 and 1500-meter runs. Freshman, Nicole Esworthy was chosen for the 400 hurdles, while the OFA girls' 4x400-meter relay rounded out the All-Division selections for the River Hawks. The relay consisted of Chrysler, Palladino, Sidney Senko, and Madison McEvoy.
