Day One of the State Track And Field Championships gets underway in Middletown, NY with Jaelyn Chrysler and Gavin Heath both competing for Owego, and Candor's Lindsey Morse running in the 100 hurdle trials, while River Hawks girls' lacrosse heads to SUNY Cortland to face Queensbury in the Class C State Semifinal.

CLASS C STATE SEMIFINAL
OFA VS QUEENSBURY
River Hawks girls' lacrosse will be in action at SUNY Cortland today at 4:30 p.m. OFA faces Queensbury out of Section II in the Class C State Semifinal, with the winner advancing to Saturday's State Championship game. Owego made it to the semifinal round by defeating New Paltz, 15-8, while Queensbury bested Massena, 23-2.

NYSPHSAA OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
OFA has two athletes heading to Middletown, NY, while Candor will be sending one to run in the State Championships that take place over the course of the next two days. For Candor, Lindsey Morse is competing in the 100-meter hurdle trials this afternoon, hoping to punch her ticket to the finals on Saturday.

For Owego, Jaelyn Chrysler will be running the 3000m this evening, as well as the 1500-meter run on Saturday. OFA's Gavin Heath will aim for a fast time when he takes part in the 800-meters today.
