"I was proud of the way the boys competed at the qualifiers. We knew it was going to be tough to get anyone to states, but the boys competed hard and left it all out there," said Spencer-Van Etten coach, Ryan Holmes.
"I was very proud to get to watch seniors, Karson Kenville and Edward Rixford compete for the final time in their outstanding careers this week. Both of those athletes are great representitives of our school and team. They will be sorely missed."
"I am sad to see them leave, but grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them these last four years," added coach Ryan Holmes.
S-VE track and field coach, Kyle Holmes also echoed how proud he is of the program.
"Each of these kids worked hard all season. Kenville did great in the 110 hurdles and the boys' 4x100 hit a personal best. Gabe really impressed us in the pentathlon, especially in the 1500," said Kyle Holmes.
"Overall it was a good season for us. We are losing a big group, but we will have a solid group of freshman coming up and many key members returning. We are excited for what the future holds for S-VE track."
