ENDICOTT - Lindsey Morse had an excellent day one for the Coyotes at the Section IV Track and Field State Qualifier Meet, advancing to tomorrow's final in the girls' 100-meter hurdles.
Candor's Morse ran 15.96 to take fourth overall and second in Class C to secure her spot in Thursday's final.
Morse also leaped 16-3.75 in the long jump event, good enough for a fourth place finish in Class C.
Candor's Claire Rollins ran 14.29 in the 100-meter dash prelims, while Megan Williamson clocked 28.89 in the 200-meter prelim.
Charlie Hilbert leaped 19-2.25 for the Coyotes in the boys' long jump for a top-ten overall finish. Hilbert ran 12.15 in his heat for the 100-meter dash.
Candor track and field will get back to work on Thursday for day two of the state qualifier meet with Morse hoping to punch her ticket to the State Championships in the 100 hurdles.
