NORWICH - OFA tennis traveled to Norwich yesterday for their final contest of the regular season, getting in some last minute preparation before competing in sectionals this coming Thursday.

Sam Beyer lost in first singles to Norwich's Kristopher Deuel, 6-3, 6-3.

The Owego doubles team of Tanner Hayes and Scott Reigle won their match, 6-4, 6-3 over Phin Rivenburg and Timmy Guzewich. 

"Sam played a great competitor from Norwich and had a solid match. Our doubles team of Tanner and Scott were all business during their match, staying focused and using doubles strategy they have been working on all season," said coach Erica Haray.

"I am very proud of how they all played. This was good prep for sectionals this week."

On Thursday, OFA's Beyer and DJ Cardone will participate in the singles tournament for sectionals, while Reigle and Hayes team up in the doubles bracket for Class B.
