SECTION IV GIRLS' LACROSSE: RIVER HAWKS MAKE IT 10 STRAIGHT WITH ROAD WIN AT UNION-ENDICOTT (2025-05-12)

Tioga County Sports Report
ENDICOTT - OFA girls' lacrosse had to put together a collective defensive effort on the road Monday night, earning their tenth straight victory, defeating Union-Endicott, 7-3 in Section IV lacrosse action.

Goals were hard to come by in Monday's night cap against the Tigers, so the River Hawks relied on strong performances from Shannon Maslin in goal and Bella Silvestri, defensively.

"This was a strong defensive effort overall tonight," said coach Ashlee Marsh.

"Unfortunately our shots didn't fall the way we wanted tonight, but we will keep working and making adjustments for the next game," added Marsh.

Maslin finished with 19 saves in goal for Owego, while Silvestri racked up three ground balls to go with an assist on the night. Ashleigh Steele also tallied three ground balls.

Steele and Jenna McEvoy lead the scoring effort for OFA with two goals a piece. Keira Henry, Izzy Herceg and Madison McEvoy both found the net once as well, while Amelia Sherman and Lexi Herceg helped out with one assist each.

Owego girls' lacrosse improves to 11-2 for the season and will be at Chenango Forks next, on May 14th.
