TRACK & FIELD: OFA BOYS AND GIRLS FALL TO CHENANGO VALLEY IN STAC TRACK & FIELD ACTION (2025-05-08)

BINGHAMTON - River Hawks' track and field continues to round into form as they get closer to the postseason, but were unable to secure a pair of wins against Chenango Valley on Wednesday, losing to the Warriors in both the boys' and girls' meets.

For the boys, Chenango Valley won a close one, 74-65, while the Warriors defeated the OFA girls, 80-42.

On the Owego boys' side, Brady Senko won the 110 hurdles with 16.7 and Jaeden King finished first in the 100-meter dash, running 11.0. King also won the 200m in 23.2.

Senko won the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.3, as well as the triple jump, leaping 35-10, 3/4. Magavin Allen placed first in the 800-meters, clocking 2:05.

For the OFA girls, Stella Palladino took first in both the 100-meter dash and the 200m. In the 100m, Palladino ran a 12.8, then clocking a 27.2 for the 200m.

Jaelyn Chrysler finished first in 1500-meters with 5:17 and Eleanora Palmer won the discus with a throw of 73-10. 

Lilly LaFever earned a second place finish in the 800m, running 2:47.7, while Sidney Senko finished runner-up in the 400-meters with a time of 1:11.5

"We mixed things up a little tonight and had some athletes compete in different events," said coach Scott Senko.

"The end result wasn't what we wanted, but we had some really good performances and we are setting ourselves up to perform well in the postseason."

OFA track and field will next be at the Vestal Golden Bear Relays on Friday night.
