STAC SOFTBALL: LAUBACH'S THREE-HIT DAY HELPS PROPEL OFA TO THEIR NINTH WIN OF THE SEASON (2025-04-30)

OWEGO - Miley Laubach had three RBIs to go with three hits, helping Owego pick up their ninth win of the season on Wednesday, downing Seton Catholic, 9-4 at home.

Owego scored all of their runs in the first three innings. In the first inning, Geneva Crawford worked a walk. Crawford advanced to second, then stole third, before scoring on a passed ball.

Next, Carsten Crawford walked and Laubach doubled. Maia Smith reached on an error that allowed both runners to score. Ava Leonard then knocked an extra-base hit to drive in Smith for Owego's fourth run of the inning.

The River Hawks plated two more in the second inning, thanks to a Laubach RBI that brought in Geneva Crawford, and Smith reached again on an error that allowed Laubach to get home.

OFA put up three more runs in the third and held off Seton Catholic the remainder of the game.

Joslyn Space had a solid day in the circle for OFA, going five innings. Space allowed just one earned run and struck out six. Carsten Crawford pitched two innings in relief, striking out three.

Leonard went 1-for-3 with an RBI, while Space and Smith both went 1-for-4, each scoring a run on the day. Geneva Crawford scored three times, while Lexi Cheeseman tallied a pair of hits.

OFA will take the field again at Elmira on May 2nd.
