IAC SOFTBALL: EAGLES DOWN DRYDEN IN FIVE INNINGS FOR SECOND TIME IN TWO WEEKS (2025-04-22)

CANDOR - The Eagles totaled double digit runs on Monday evening to take down Dryden for the second time in two weeks, winning 15-3 and gaining momentum nearing the mid-point of the season.

Elliana Middlebrook was excellent on the mound for SVEC, going four innings, allowing just one hit without surrendering an earned run. The eighth grader struck out nine on the day as well. 

SVEC came out of the second inning holding a one run lead, then exploded for five runs in both the third and fourth innings, before plating their final run in the fifth.

Emma Neish, Jillian Holmes and Faith Brenchley all went 1-for-2, and each recorded a double during Monday's win. Brenchley finished the day with four RBIs. Neish drove in a run as well, and Holmes scored three times.

Kelsea Swayze earned an RBI, while Kaidince Root stole three bases against Dryden. Middlebrook, Maddy Ashby, Ryleigh Bowman, and Olivia Potts all scored in the game.

The Eagles will try for win number three on Wednesday against Trumansburg.
