Tioga County Sports Report
The Panthers put together four hits to Lansing's two, but were done in by an error and multiple walks, losing to the Bobcats 23-3, Thursday afternoon.
Katelyn Klym lead the way for SVEC with a pair of base hits, while Jillian Holmes hit a home run and totaled three RBIs on the day. Emma Neish also chipped in a hit, while Kelsea Swayze and Katelynn VanEtten each scored a run.
SVEC drove three runs in during the fifth, thanks to a Jillian Holmes three-run homer to centerfield that brought in Swayze and VanEtten.
The Panthers gave up six runs in the first inning and allowed another big eight-run inning in the third. Ultimately it was 23 base on balls that put SVEC in a hole they couldn't get out of.
SVEC will take the diamond again on Friday when they travel to Whitney Point.
