IAC GIRLS BASKETBALL: FINTA HEADLINES NEWARK VALLEY'S IAC ALL-STARS (2025-03-15)

Tioga County Sports Report
NEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley senior Adrianna Finta was named an IAC South Large School Division first-team all-star, and four of her teammates also received recognition in recent voting by the division's coaches.

Juniors Adriana Rich and Aubrey Kwiatkowski were named to the second team, and sophomore Kam Short and senior Livia Short.

Watkins Glen junior Brianna Hatch was named the division's MVP.

FIRST TEAM
Adrianna Finta, senior, Newark Valley:
An athletic all-around player, Finta averaged 11.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 4 steals, and 4.2 deflections per game.

She also knocked down nine 3-pointers.

Also named to the first team were: Watkins Glen senior Addison Coolican, Notre Dame's Kalysta DeMark, and Watkins Glen junior Olivia King.

SECOND TEAM
Adriana Rich, junior, Newark Valley:
A good all-around player, Rich averaged 8.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.9 steals, and 3.7 deflections per game.

She also connected on 25 3-pointers.

Aubrey Kwiatkowski, junior, Newark Valley: Dangerous from behind the arc, Kwiatkowski averaged 11.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.8 steals, and 2.6 deflections.

She also knocked down a team-high 38 3-pointers.

Also named to the second team were: Notre Dame junior Payton Sutryk, Edison junior Mali Huffier, and Watkins Glen junior Natalee Oliver.

Honorable Mention
Kamryn Short, sophomore, Newark Valley:
A force in the paint,  Kam Short averaged 9.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 3.3 blocks, 1.3 steals, and 1.4 deflections per game.

Livia Short, senior, Newark Valley: A presence in the paint, Liv Short averaged 6.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2.2 steals, 2 deflections, and 0.7 blocks per game.

Also receiving honorable mention recognition: Edison's Charlie Stroman, Notre Dame's Leah O'Connell and Jhamariah Maxwell, and Watkins Glen's Rachel Vickie.
