NEWARK VALLEY'S HARTMAN NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"Hartman won the Class C gold at Midway Lanes Friday.
Hartman rolled a 606 series on games of 205, 189, and 212.
Hartman's average for the season was 170, and her high game was 203.

OWEGO'S ALLEN NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"Allen won a pair of gold medals Saturday at the Class B swimming championships.
Allen won the 200-yard IM in a personal-best time of 2:02.76 — more than 3.1 seconds ahead of the runner-up. He won the 100 back in 56.86 seconds — 2.2 seconds ahead of the runner-up.
Allen also won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke at the Class B preliminaries Wednesday.
