WOMEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: NEWARK VALLEY GRAD WANDELL FINISHES STRONG SENIOR SEASON AT FREDONIA (2025-02-24)

PLATTSBURG — Newark Valley grad Allie Wandell, a senior on the SUNY Fredonia women's basketball team, narrowly missed a double-double Saturday in a close season-ending loss here to Plattsburg State.

Wandell had 10 points on 4 of 8 shooting from the field, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one blocked shot in a 53-49 loss.

It was the seventh double-digit outing of the season for Wandell, who also has six double-digit rebound games.

Wandell had two double-double this season, including 23 points and 12 rebounds in a win 78-66 over William Smith.

In 24 games, including 20 starts, Wandell averaged 7.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 steals in 25 minutes per game. She also had 11 3-pointers.

Fredonia ends the 2024-25 season at 9-15.
