SECTION IV GIRLS BASKETBALL: NEWARK VALLEY TOP SEED IN CLASS C, RECEIVES BYE INTO QUARTERFINALS (2025-02-20)

NEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley is the top seed in the Section IV, Class C girls basketball playoffs, and will receive a bye into the quarterfinals.

The Cardinals will host the winner of the game between 8th-seeded Southern Cayuga (13-7) and ninth-seeded Bainbridge-Guilford (14-6) on March 1 at 6 p.m.

Also at the top of the bracket, Notre Dame (12-7) is the fourth seed, and Unatego (13-4) is the fifth seed.

At the bottom of the bracket, Greene (15-2) is the second seed, defending state champion Moravia (14-3) is the third seed, Union Springs (15-4) is the sixth seed, and Candor (14-5) is the seventh seed.

The Class C title game is set for March 8 at 2 p.m. at Tompkins-Cortland Community College.
