SECTION IV BOYS SWIMMING: DOUBLE-WINNER ALLEN, SCHRADER RECORD FOUR TOP-FOUR FINISHES AT CLASS B PRELIMS (2025-02-19)
Tioga County Sports ReportENDWELL — Junior Magavin Allen won two events, and along with freshman Eric Schrader, had four top-four finishes here Wednesday at the Section IV, Class B boys swimming preliminaries.
The top 16 finishers in each individual event, and the top eight relays advance to Saturday's Class B Championships.
Allen won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:07.21
Allen also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 57.83 seconds, and freshman Padraig Allen was 15th in 1:17.07.
Schrader placed second in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:23.18, and junior Javan Belokur was seventh in 5:42.48
Schrader finished third in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:58.55, while Belokur was ninth in 2:07.23, and freshman Nicholas Lomonaco was 10th in 2:08.89.
Allen and Schrader teamed with Belokur and junior Vincent Kneller to finish fourth in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:59.12. The same foursome was fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:49.57.
Sophomore Stephen Gilmore, senior Jack Arroyo, Pradraig Allen, and senior Dalton Malmstrom teamed to finish sixth in the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 2:09.22.
Lomonaco was ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:20.2.
Kneller finished 13th in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:14.87
Malmstrom was 13th in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:01.3, while Gilmore was 14th in 1:02.95, and Arroyo was 16th in 1:05.23.
Gilmore finished 16th in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 27.98 seconds.
Arroyo will be an alternate in the 50-yard freestyle after a 17th-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 28.04 seconds.
The Class B Championships begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at Maine-Endwell High School.
