SECTION IV WRESTLING: VAOW LEADS THREE SVEC WRESTLERS INTO DIVISION 2 CHAMPIONSHIPS (2025-02-15)
Tioga County Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — Junior Rodney Vaow will lead three SVEC wrestlers into action Sunday morning at the Section IV Division 2 wrestling championships at the Broome County Arena.
Vaow (26-9) is the sixth seed at 131 pounds, and will face the 11th-seeded Leland Houston (16-15) of Newark Valley in the opening round.
Freshman John-michael Bohling (10-11) is the 10th seed at 101 pounds and will face seventh-seeded Riley Whitmore (11-11) of M-E in the opening round.
Sophomore Cooper Zufall (12-11) is the 12th seed at 160 pounds, and will square off with fifth-seeded Lucas Barnes (27-9) of Deposit-Hancock in the opening round.
Action begins at 9:30 a.m.
