IAC GIRLS BASKETBALL: UNION SPRINGS ROLLS TO 47-20 WIN OVER S-VE (2025-02-05)

SPENCER — Union Springs took control in the second quarter, and blew the game open in the third on its way to a 49-20 win over S-VE here Wednesday night in IAC girls basketball action.

The Wolves led 11-7 after the first quarter, and used a 16-4 run in the second quarter to take a 27-11 lead into the halftime locker room.

Union Springs blew the game open with a 15-0 blitz to extend its lead to 42-11 heading into the final eight minutes.

Brianna Predmore led S-VE with six points on a pair of 3-pointers, while Kaidince Root added four points and three rebounds, and Kate Klym grabbed six boards.

Hannah Smith had three rebounds and three steals for the Panthers, and Lauren Gillette added three boards.

S-VE, now 2-14, returns to action Friday at Newfield.
