TIOGA COUNTY SPORTS REPORT: CANDOR'S FOSTER, MAKIE NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2025-02-05)

TIOGA COUNTY — Candor junior Jakobe Foster and sophomore Emmi Makie both had big weeks to help their Coyote teams to two wins each. They are the TCSR / Guthrie Community Credit Union "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Feb. 1.

CANDOR'S FOSTER NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Foster averaged 26 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 4 steals per game in a pair of wins.

Foster led Candor with 22 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and seven steals in an 85-43 to Thomas A. Edison.

He led Candor with 30 points, including making 20 of 24 free throws, seven rebounds, five assists, and one blocked shot in a 64-49 win over state-ranked Newfield.

CANDOR'S MAKIE NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Makie averaged 24.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3 assists, 4.5 steals, and 1 blocked shot per game in a pair of wins.

Makie posted a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, to go along with five assists and four steals in a 67-40 win over Newfield.

She scored 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, to go along with five steals, and two blocked shots in a 67-14 win over Campbell-Savona Saturday.
