IAC BOYS BASKETBALL: MORAVIA TAKES BIG LEAD EARLY IN 91-38 WIN OVER S-VE (2025-01-31)

SPENCER — State-ranked Moravia started fast, and never looked back in a 91-38 win over S-VE here Thursday night in IAC boys basketball crossover action.

Moravia raced out to a 29-12 lead after the first quarter, then used a 20-6 second-quarter blitz to take a 49-18 lead into the halftime locker room.

The Blue Devils outscored the Panthers 21-8 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 70-26 heading into the final eight minutes.

Luukas Carling and Clayton Bower led S-VE with 10 points apiece, while Chris Merrick scored eight points, and Jackson Bennett and Theo Mueller-Steinhart each had four points.

Joe Baylor led Moravia with 21 points.

S-VE, now 0-13, returns to action Monday when it hosts Newark Valley.
