STAC BOWLING: OWEGO BOYS SWEEP SUS. VALLEY; LADY RIVER HAWKS PULL OUT 3-2 WIN (2029-01-28)
Tioga County Sports ReportOWEGO — Evan O'Hara and Connor Kotski rolled big 600 series to lead the Owego boys to a sweep of Chenango Valley here Tuesday, while the Lady River Hawks won the third game to pull out a 3-2 win in STAC bowling action at the Owego Bowl.
BOYS
Owego 5, Sus. Valley 0O'Hara banged out a 698 series on games of 280, 248, and 170, while Kotski shot a 688 on games of 227, 214, and 247.
Grayson Quick rolled a 607 on games of 202, 203, and 202 for the River Hawks, while Grayden Stanton added a 568, including a 202 in the third game, and Chase Romeo tacked on a 524.
Owego won the first game 1,044-724, then pounded out wins of 1,040-890, and 1,001-851 for a two-point total-pinfall victory of 3,085 to 2,465.
Cazz Bonsell led SV with a 573 series.
GIRLS
Owego 3, Sus. Valley 2The Sabers won the first two games by scores of 728-664 and 693-690, but the River Hawks rallied to win the third game 715-643 to erase a 67-pin deficit in a 2,069 to 2,064 two-point total-pinfall win.
Elizabeth Reigle led Owego with a 492 series, while Elaina Anschutz rolled a 468, Izzy Coveney shot a 441, and Izzy Taylor added a 392.
Allicyn Bisaha led SV with a 622.
Owego returns to action Monday at Chenango Valley.
