IAC BOWLING: FLOYD POWERS CANDOR BOYS IN SWEEP OF EDISON; LADY COYOTES PULL OUT 3-1 WIN (2025-01-27)
Tioga County Sports ReportELMIRA — Kody Floyd rolled a 700 series to lead the Candor boys to a sweep of Thomas A. Edison here Monday afternoon, while the Lady Coyotes won a very tightly-contested, 3-1, decision in IAC bowling action.
BOYS
Candor 4, Edison 0
Floyd banged out a 700 on the nose with games of 219, 258, and 223, while Tyler Dunham shot a 612 with games of 175, 255, and 182.
Candor won the first game 856-807, then followed it pop with wins of 1,033-808 and 832-792 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,721 to 2,407.
Malcolm Jackson rolled a 561, including a 202, for the Coyotes, while William Sizer added a 438, and Stanley Winnick tacked on a 410.
Jared Barber led Edison with a 686 series, and Zack Crown added a 620.
GIRLS
Candor 3, Edison 1
Candor won the first game 761-725, but Edison answered with a 755-688 win in the second game. The Coyotes responded with a 739-704 Winn in the third game, which was good enough for a total-pinfall victory of 2,188 to 2,184.
Kaitlyn Floyd led Candor with a 562 series, including a 225 in the first game, while Kaydee Jackson shot a 498, and Jennarose Reagan had a 392.
Kristin Baker added a 388 for the Coyotes, and Raina Schneider-Kern tacked on a 348.
Reagan Peris led Edison with a 525 series.
Candor returns to action Thursday when it hosts O-M.
