IAC BOWLING: CANDOR BOYS, GIRLS DROP 3-1 DECISIONS TO TIOGA (2025-01-21)

WAVERLY — The Candor boys and girls each salvaged one point in 3-1 losses to Tioga here Tuesday afternoon in IAC Small School bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.

BOYS
Tioga 3, Candor 1

Tioga won the first game 945-783, and followed it up for a 956-823 win in the second game. Candor salvaged the third game with an 858-831, but the Tigers won the total-pinfall point by a count of 2,732 to 2,464.

Kody Floyd led the Coyotes with a 577 series, including a 221 in the third game, while Tyler Dunham rolled a 504, including a 204 in the first game, and William Sizer shot a 483, including a 204 in the third game.

Malcolm Jackson added a 454 series for Candor, and Stanley Winnick tacked on a 414 series.

Slater banged out a 634 series on games of 226, 213, and 195 to lead the Tigers, and Charles Holmes added a 597, including games of 214 and 217.

GIRLS
Tioga 3, Candor 1

The Coyotes pulled out a 748-736 win in the first game, but Tioga answered with wins of 714-712 and 790-703 for a total-pinfall win of 2,240 to 2,163.

Calli Marsh led Candor with a 568 series, including a 236 in the first game, while Kaitlyn Floyd rolled a 487, and Kristin Baker had a 393.

Jennarose Reagan shot a 383 for the Coyotes, while Raina Schneider-Kern added a 322, and Zoe Travis tacked on a 308.

Selena LaFritz shot a 545 series to lead Tioga, including games of 182 and 204, and Kelsey Helmich rolled a 515 series.

Candor hosts Union Springs / Port Byron Thursday at the Owego Bowl.
