IAC BOYS BASKETBALL: NEWFIELD ROLLS OVER S-VE (2025-01-15)

NEWFIELD — Newfield raced out to an 18-point first-quarter lead, and never looked back in a 76-24 win over S-VE here Tuesday night in IAC Small School boys basketball action.

Newfield jumped out to a 20-2 lead, despite making just 1 of 8 free-throw attempts, after the first eight minutes.

The Trojans continued their hot shooting in the second quarter, using a 25-8 blitz to up its lead to 45-10 at the half.

Newfield continued its scoring barrage in the third quarter with a 20-5 run to take a 66-15 lead into the final eight minutes.

Luukas Carling led S-VE with 12 points, and Keith Hills added four points.

S-VE, now 0-8, hosts Tioga on Friday, and Waverly on Saturday.
