IAC BOWLING: CANDOR GIRLS SWEEP LANSING; SHORT-HANDED BOYS SWEPT (2025-01-13)
Tioga County Sports ReportITHACA — Kaitlyn Floyd led the Candor girls to a sweep of Lansing here Monday afternoon, while a short-handed Candor boys squad was swept in IAC bowling action at the Helen Newman Lanes.
GIRLS
Candor 4, Lansing 0The Coyotes won the first game 685-592, and followed it up with wins of 681-627, and 779-666 for a total-pinfall win over 2,145 to 1,885.
Floyd rolled a 501 to pace Candor, while Calli Marsh shot a 495, and Kristin Baker had a 414.
Zoe Travis added a 388 in the sweep, and Jennarose Reagan tacked on a 347.
Signna Wright led Lansing with a 441 series.
BOYS
Lansing 4, Candor 0Tyler Dunham banged out a 600 series, but Candor had just four bowlers in action in a 4-0 loss to Lansing.
The Bobcats won total pinfall by a count of 2,727 to 2,020.
Dunham rolled a 626 series on games of 202, 200, and 224, while Kody Floyd shot a 581, including a 224 in the third game, Malcolm Jackson had a 451, and Stanley Winnick tacked on a 362.
Nicholas Finns led Lansing with a 638 series.
Candor returns to action against Tioga on Aug. 21 at the Valley Bowling Center in Waverly.
