SECTION IV INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: PALLADINO, CHRYSLER, LEE PACE OWEGO'S EFFORTS AT WINTER CLASSIC (2025-01-13)

CORTLAND — Juniors Stella Palladino, Jaelyn Chrysler, and Sophia Lee each had top-five finishes here Friday at the Section IV Indoor Track & Field Winter Classic at SUNY Cortland.

GIRLS
Palladino had the best finish of the day, placing third in the 200-meter dash in 28.79 seconds.

Chrysler finished fourth in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 11:57.06. She also finished 21st in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:15.48

Lee placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 13-feet, 2 1/2-inches, and junior Isabella Rogers was 24th in 9-feet, 11 1/2-inches.

Lee was also 22nd in the 55-meter dash in 8.81 seconds.

Junior Abigail McHugh finished seventh in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:42.28. She also placed eighth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:48.99.

Junior Shirina Harris finished 11th in the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 12.14 seconds.

BOYS
Junior Gavin Heath had the best finish of the day for the Owego boys, placing eighth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:13.31, while junior Jaxson Belokur was 11th in 2:14.01.

Owego senior Evan Wasilewski finished 10th in the long jump with a leap of 16-feet, 4 1/2-inches.

Senior Bryson Castro finished 19th in the 55-meter dash in a time of 7.52 seconds.
