STAC BOYS SWIMMING: SCHRADER PACES OWEGO WITH TWO TOP-TWO FINISHES AT WOLVERINE INVITE (2025-01-12)
Tioga County Sports ReportWAVERLY — Freshman Eric Schrader had a first- and second-place finish, and junior Magavin Allen had three top-six finishes here Saturday at the Wolverines Swimming & Diving Invitational.
Corning ran away with the team title, amassing 547 points, while runner-up Horseheads tallied 387. Chenango Valley was third with 242.5 points, Susquehanna Valley was fourth with 213.5 points, Norwich was fifth with 163 points, and Owego earned 139 points.
Schrader won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:27.94, and junior Javan Belokur was seventh in 5:56.02.
Schrader finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:01.47, and Belokur was 10th in 2:10.22.
Allen finished third in the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:10.69. He also placed sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:08.24
Schrader, Allen, and Belokur teamed with junior Vincent Kneller to finish sixth in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:01.0.
Owego returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Susquehanna Valley.
