STAC BOWLING: OWEGO BOYS PLACE SIXTH, GIRLS EIGHTH AT STAC MID-SEASON TOURNAMENT (2025-01-12)
Tioga County Sports ReportVESTAL — Connor Kotski and Evan O'Hara rolled big 600 series to lead the Owego boys to a sixth-place finish here Saturday at the STAC Mid-Season Bowling Tournament at Midway Lanes, while the Lady River Hawks placed eighth.
BOYSWaverly won the team title with a three-game set of 3,270, edging out Elmira by 3 points. Horseheads was third with 3,187 pins, M-E was fourth at 3,097, U-E was fifth at 3,047, and Owego tallied 3,035 pins.
Kotski rolled a 683 series, which was eighth in the individual standings. His high game of 279 ranked third.
O'Hara shot a 663 series, which was 13th on the day.
Devan Card shot a 583 series for the River Hawks, while Grayson Quick added a 564, and Grayden Stanton tacked on a 542.
GIRLSElmira won the team title with a three-game set of 2,80-5, while U-E was second at 2,728, and M-E was third at 2,707. Owego tallied 2,015 pins.
Izzy Coveney and Elaina Anschutz led the River Hawks with matching 476 series, while Liz Reigle shot a 393, Izzy Taylor added a 370, and Maddie Kinney tacked on a 300 series.
Owego returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Chenango Valley.
