TIOGA COUNTY — Basketball takes center stage this week with several intra-county match-ups, including a couple non-league contests, like the Owego-S-VE girls on Thursday, and the Waverly-S-VE boys Saturday.

There are 31 events on the docket this week, including eight on Tuesday, and seven on Friday.

The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:

MONDAY (4)
•  Owego hosts Groton in non-league girls basketball action.

TUESDAY (8)
•  Newark Valley hosts Trumansburg in a Large School girls basketball crossover contest.

•  Owego hosts Chenango Valley in a STAC Central boys basketball match-up.

•  S-VE hosts Newfield in an IAC South Small School Division girls basketball match-up.

•  The Owego boys host Susquehanna Valley in the pool.

•  The Owego bowlers host Chenango Valley at the Owego Bowl.

WEDNESDAY (6)
•  Newark Valley wrestling hosts Moravia.

•  The Candor boys host O-M in a divisional basketball match-up.

•  SVEC hosts Thomas A. Edison on the mats at S-VE High School.

•  Owego hosts the conglomeration of Harpursville-Bainbridge Guilford-Sidney-Unatego) in a girls wrestling match.

THURSDAY (4)
•  The Newark Valley boys host Dryden in crossover basketball action.

•  Owego hosts S-VE in a non-league girls basketball contest.

FRIDAY (7)
•  Owego hosts Waverly in a renewal of their boys basketball rivalry.

•  S-VE hosts Tioga in an IAC divisional match-up.

•  Candor hosts Union Springs in a girls hoop tilt.

SATURDAY (2)
•  S-VE hosts Waverly in a non-league boys basketball contest.

•  It's Day 2 for Owego wrestling at the Bradshaw Wrestling Invitational at Candandaigua Academy.
