TIOGA COUNTY — Wrestling once again center stage Saturday, with Day 2 of the Southern Tier Memorial Boys Tournament, which will be joined by the Girls Tournament.

BOYS WRESTLING
Southern Tier Memorial, 9 a.m. @ LeCom Center, Elmira:
Day 2 will begin with the semifinals, which will feature Owego senior Bobby Struble at 170 pounds, as well as Newark Valley senior Trevor Middendorf and junior Cadin Creeley.

Four Tioga wrestlers — juniors Jayden Duncanson and Logan Bellis, sophomore Declan McKee, and freshman Drayke Ulrich, and three Waverly grapplers — sophomores Rhylee Stotler and Matthias Welles, and junior Cooper Robinson — also advanced to the semifinals.

River Hawks Round Robin, 9 a.m.: Owego, minus three of its top wrestlers at the Southern Tier Memorial, host Whitney Point, Baldwinsville, Schuyler, and Deposit-Hancock in a round-robin tournament.

GIRLS WRESTLING
Southern Tier Memorial, 9 a.m. @ LeCom Center, Elmira:
230 girls from 42 different schools will be on hand Saturday for the Southern Tier Memorial.

Owego junior RaeAnn Craft is the top seed at 126 pounds, while SVEC has a 2-seed in Dallas Bohling at 114 pounds, and a 3-seed in junior Tayah Beach at 120 pounds.

Tioga senior Kali Bailey is the top seed at 132 pounds, while Tioga sophomore Amelia Toomey is the top seed at 145, and Tioga freshman Kyah Nelson is the top seed at 165 pounds.

Waverly has a pair of 2-seeds in junior Emma Vanderhoof at 120, and freshman Kennadie Cochrane at 107.
