IAC BOWLING: CANDOR BOYS, GIRLS BOTH POST 3-1 WINS OVER NEWARK VALLEY (2024-01-07)

NEWARK VALLEY — Tyler Dunham and Kaydee Jackson led the Candor boys and girls to 3-1 wins over Newark Valley here Tuesday afternoon in IAC bowling action at Cardinal Lanes.

BOYS
Candor 3, Newark Valley 1

Dunham banged out a 643 series on games of 193, 195, and 255 to lead the Coyotes to the win.

Candor won the first game 921-818, and the third game 890-795 for a total-pinfall win of 2,576 to 2,405. Newark Valley won the second game 792-765.

Kody Floyd shot a 542 for Candor, while Stanley Wince had a 483, Malcolm Jackson added a 470, and William Sizer tacked on a 438.

Devon Green shot a 609 series on games of 245, 173, and 191 to pace the Cardinals, while James Wales shot a 523, John Sloughter had a 458, and Mason Peck added a 437.

William Simmons had a 378 for the Cardinals, and Riley Levine tacked on a 328.

GIRLS
Candor 3, Newark Valley 1

Kaydee Jackson led a balanced scoring effort for Candor with a 447 series, while Calli Marsh shot a 437, and Kaitlyn Floyd rolled a 436.

Kristin Baker shot a 390 for the Coyotes, while Jennarose Reagan added a 353, and Zoe Travis tacked on a 306.

Candor won the first game 667-585 and the second game 749-725. Newark Valley pulled out the third game 684-653, but the Coyotes prevailed in total-pinfall by a count of 2,069 to 1,994.

Brook Illsley led NV with a match-high 476 series, while Rachel Hartman shot a 437, and Lyla Dufresne had a 422.

MaeAnna Jackson had a 329 for the Cardinals, and Abigail DeBolt added a 312.

Candor returns to action Thursday at Watkins Glen, while Newark Valley hosts Tioga.
