IAC BOYS BASKETBALL: NOTRE DAME ROLLS TO 79-40 WIN OVER NEWARK VALLEY (2025-01-07)

NEWARK VALLEY — Notre Dame had four scorers in double-figures and knocked down nine 3-pointers in a 79-40 win over Newark Valley here Tuesday night in IAC South Large School Division boys basketball action.

The Crusaders had nine different players put their names in the scoring column in the first half on its way to a 43-16 lead at the break.

Notre Dame outscored Newark Valley, 13-7, in the third quarter to take a 56-23 lead into the final eight minutes.

Tim Wojtysiak led Newark Valley with 16 points, while Austin Green scored nine points on a trio of 3-pointers, Anthony Dougher added eight points, and Josh Benjamin chipped in with seven points.

Caleb White and Pat McCarthy, who knocked down four 3-pointers, led Notre Dame with 12 points apiece, while Max O'Connor had 11 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, and Manlike Jenkins added 10 points.

Newark Valley, now 2-5, returns to action Friday at Whitney Point.
