IAC JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: S-VE RIDES BIG FIRST QUARTER TO 30-15 WIN OVER SOUTHERN CAYUGA (2024-12-18)
Tioga County Sports ReportSPENCER — Spencer-VanEtten raced out to a 15-point first-quarter lead, and cruised to a 30-15 win over Southern Cayuga here Tuesday night in IAC South Small School Division junior division girls basketball action.
Kendall Gentile scored eight points and Trinity Dashler added six points to fuel a 17-2 game-opening blitz for the Panthers.
The two teams played evenly over the final three quarters.
Gentile led S-VE with 12 points, three rebounds, and five steals, while Dashler had 11 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and eight steals, and Kelsea Swayze added five points, four rebounds, and three steals.
Amani Diboun grabbed nine rebounds in the win, while Emma Neish had four rebounds and three steals, and Madelyn Ellison recorded five steals.
S-VE hosts Marathon Friday.
