TIOGA COUNTY — The final full week of action in 2024 is full of basketball and bowling, with a little wrestling mixed in.

There are 28 events on the docket, including nine on Friday, and eight on Tuesday.

The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:

MONDAY (3)
•  Candor hosts Thomas A. Edison in IAC bowling action at the Owego Bowl.

TUESDAY (8)
•  The Candor girls host Newfield in an IAC South Small School basketball match-up.

•  Newark Valley hosts Thomas A. Edison in IAC Large School girls hoop action.

•  The S-VE girls host Southern Cayuga in an IAC crossover hoop game.

•  The Newark Valley bowlers host Lansing at Cardinal Lanes.

WEDNESDAY (4)
•  The Owego boys host Oneonta in STAC boys basketball action.

•  SVEC hosts Lansing in an IAC wrestling match-up.

•  Newark Valley hosts Trumansburg in IAC wrestling action.

•  The Owego bowlers host STAC rival Chenango Valley at the Owego Bowl.

THURSDAY (3)
•  Newark Valley hosts IAC Large School bowling rival Watkins Glen at Cardinal Lanes.

•  The Owego boys host Norwich in a STAC swim meet.

FRIDAY (9)
•  The Owego boys host STAC basketball powerhouse Seton Catholic.

•  Newark Valley hosts IAC South Large School rival Watkins Glen in girls hoop action.

•  Candor hosts Moravia, and S-VE hosts Marathon in IAC girls hoop crossover contests.

•  The Owego wrestlers are in action at the two-day North Country Invite.

SATURDAY (1)
•  It's Day 2 of the North Country Invite for the Owego wrestlers.
