IAC JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: S-VE PULLS OUT 26-23 WIN OVER O-M (2024-12-14)

ODESSA — Spencer-VanEtten built a six-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, and held of for a 26-23 win over Odessa-Montour here Friday night in IAC South Small School junior varsity girls basketball action.

Trinity Dashler scored four points in the first quarter as S-VE and O-M played to an 8-8 draw in the opening stanza.

Dashler scored four more points in the second quarter as the Panthers used an 8-6 advantage to take a 16-14 lead into the halftime break.

S-VE used a 6-2 spurt in the third quarter to take a 22-16 lead into the fourth quarter, then held on for the win.

Dashler led S-VE with 10 points, while Kendall Gentile and Madelyn Ellison added four points apiece.

S-VE returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Southern Cayuga.
