IAC BOWLING: FLOYD, DUNHAM LEAD CANDOR IN 3-1 WIN OVER TIOGA; CANDOR GIRLS ALSO WIN 3-1 (2024-12-10)
Tioga County Sports ReportOWEGO — Kody Floyd banged out a 700 series to lead Candor to a 3-1 win over Tioga here Tuesday, while the Candor girls also posted a 3-1 win in IAC Small School bowling at the Owego Bowl.
BOYS
Candor 3, Tioga 1Floyd rolled a 707 series on games of 248, 233, and 226, and Tyler Dunham shot a 687 on games of 198, 268, and 221 to lead the Coyotes in a 3-1 win.
Candor won the first game 929-831, but Tioga answered with a 1,021-1,002 win. Candor closed out the match with a 939-797 win for a total-pinfall victory of 2,870 to 2,649.
William Sizer shot a 506 for the Coyotes, while Stanley Winnick had a 494, and Malcolm Jackson added a 476.
Austin Mumbulo led Tioga with a 619 series, while Nick Slater added a 610, and Garrett Godfrey added a 513.
GIRLS
Candor 3, Tioga 1Calli Marsh and Kaitlyn Floyd to lead Candor to a 3-1 win over Tioga.
The Coyotes won the first game 791-645 and followed it up with an 800-737 win in the second game. Tioga won the third game 753-731, but Candor held on to the total-pinfall point 2,322 to 2,135.
Marsh rolled a 510, including a 210 in the second game, and Floyd shot a 542, including a 200 in the first game, to pace the Coyotes, while Raina Schneider-Kern had a 416, and Jennarose Reagan had a 393.
Kristin Baker added a 385 for Candor, and Makenna Nixon chipped in with a 373.
Selena LaFritz led Tioga with a 515, and Kelsey Helmich added a 488.
Candor returns to action Monday when it hosts Thomas A. Edison at the Owego Bowl.
