IAC BOWLING: NEWARK VALLEY GIRLS SWEEP SHORT-HANDED O-M; NV BOYS SWEPT (2024-12-10)
Tioga County Sports ReportWATKINS GLEN — The Newark Valley girls posted a sweep over short-handed Odessa-Montour here Tuesday afternoon, while the NV boys were swept in IAC bowling action at Harborside Lanes.
GIRLS
Newark Valley 4, O-M 0Rachel Hartman rolled a 468 series to lead the Cardinals to a total-pinfall win of 1,937 to 607 over O-M, which had just two bowlers.
Abigail Dufresne shot a 409 for NV, while Lyla Dufresne had a 403, Brook Illsley added a 337, and MaeAnna Jackson chipped in with a 320.
BOYS
O-M 4, Newark Valley 0The Grizzlies won the first game 763-704, and followed it up with wins of 818-699, and 746-680 for a total-pinfall win of 2,327 to 2,083.
Devon Green led the Cardinals with a 447 series, while James Wales shot a 426, John Sloughter had a 424, and Mason Peck had a 400.
Riley Levine added a 343 series for Newark Valley, and Kaleb Jackson chipped in with a 332.
Newark Valley returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Lansing.
