IAC BOWLING: CANDOR GIRLS SWEEP US/PB; BOYS WIN 3-1 (2024-12-10)
Tioga County Sports ReportAUBURN — The Candor girls posted a sweep of Union Springs / Port Byron, and the Candor boys scored a 3-1 win here Monday afternoon in IAC bowling action at Starlite Lanes.
GIRLS
Candor 4, US / PB 0Candor won each game by at least 110 pins on its way to a sweep and a total-pinfall victory of 2,035 to 1,594.
Calli Marsh led the Coyotes with a 540 series, while Kaitlyn Floyd shot a 465, and Kristin Baker had a 374.
Jennarose Reagan added a 327 in the sweep, and Makenna Nixon tacked on a 318.
Jenna Jump led US / PB with a 519 series, and Caroline Smead added a 515.
BOYS
Candor 3, US / PB 1Candor won the first two games, and held on for a 3-1 win over US / PB.
The Coyotes won the first game 900-751, and followed it up with an 859-853 win. US / PB won the third game 980-846, but Candor held on for a total-pinfall win of 2,605 to 2,584.
Kody Floyd led Candor with a 610 series on games of 199, 201 and 210, while Tyler Dunham shot a 571, including games of 203 and 202, and Malcolm Jackson had a 566, including a 215 in the first game.
Stanley Winnick added a 437 for Candor, while William Dozer had a 421.
Matthew Howell led US / PB with a 603 series, and Dylan Howell added a 593.
Candor returns to action Tuesday against Tioga at the Owego Bowl.
