IAC BOWLING: FLOYD LEADS CANDOR BOYS TO 3-1 WIN OVER WATKINS GLEN; CANDOR GIRLS WIN VIA FORFEIT (2024-12-07)
Tioga County Sports ReportOWEGO — Kody Floyd banged out a 600 series to lead Candor to a 3-1 win over Watkins Glen here Friday afternoon, while the Lady Coyotes earned four points via forfeit in IAC bowling action at the Owego Bowl.
BOYS
Candor 3, Watkins Glen 1Candor won the first game 877-782 and the second game 834-806 on its way to a total-pinfall victory of 2,511 to 2,402. Watkins Glen salvaged the third game by a score of 814-800.
Floyd rolled a 636 series on games of 269, 198, and 169, while Tyler Dunham shot a 586, including a 212 in the first game, and Stanley Winnick had a 560, including a 201 in the second game.
Malcolm Jackson added a 466 for the Coyotes, and Gavin Wood tacked on a 263.
Brett Cullen-Pike led Watkins Glen with a 582 series, and Mykel Cody added a 510
GIRLS
Candor 4, Watkins Glen 0 — forfeitKaitlyn Floyd rolled a 587 series, including games of 217 and 200, to lead Candor in a 2,071 team series.
Call Marsh shot a 500 for Candor, while Kristin Baker added a 362, and Raina Schneider-Kern tacked on a 323.
Candor returns to action Monday at Union Springs / Port Byron.
