NEW YORK STATE GIRLS DIVING: OWEGO'S TOP-SEEDED KATCHUK LOOKS TO IMPROVE ON LAST YEAR'S SIXTH-PLACE FINISH AT STATES (2024-11-21)
Tioga County Sports ReportWEBSTER, N.Y. — Owego senior Kaelyn Katchuk has had an incredible record-setting career, including five Section IV, Class B diving championships.
Katchuk won her fifth Class B title this season with a new Section IV 11-dive record.
Katchuk, who had a career-best sixth-place finish at States last year, is the top seed this year with a seed mark of 612.85 points.
Maine-Endwell senior Madison Morris is the second seed at 573.75 points, and Fredonia's Elizabeth Pucci-Schaefer is the third at 567.75 points.
Last year's state champion scored 518 points.
The diving competition begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Webster Aquatics Center.
